Project Description

This Islamic religious mosque embodies a harmonious blend of spirituality, social culture, and architectural wisdom, offering not only a sacred space for prayer but also a vibrant communal environment. Anchored by a large main prayer hall, the design integrates service areas on both sides to ensure functionality while maintaining an open, welcoming atmosphere. A spacious garden in the front yard fosters cultural gatherings, making the mosque a hub for social interaction beyond ritual practices. The ablution areas, thoughtfully placed in detached masses, provide separate facilities for men and women, ensuring privacy and convenience. Rooted in the traditions of Pendhapa-style Javanese architecture, the mosque embraces the Saka Guru concept, where four structural columns symbolize wisdom, stability, and guidance. The material palette prioritizes wood and stone flooring, enhancing both thermal comfort and timeless elegance. Water elements, including a prominent pond with a fountain in the front terrace, contribute to evaporative cooling, reinforcing the natural microclimate within the space. Well-designed pathways ensure intuitive navigation, guiding visitors seamlessly while accentuating the mosque’s serene and contemplative atmosphere. This holistic design reinterprets tradition through a modern yet deeply spiritual lens, creating an environment that is both functional and culturally meaningful.
