Project Description
This Grand City Mosque, strategically positioned near the national province roadway, stands as a beacon of spiritual and architectural significance. Its symmetrical form, enveloped in pure white, embodies a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. The main dome, inspired by Islamic Middle Eastern architecture, gracefully integrates curved geometries, serving both as an expressive cultural symbol and a functional design element. A carefully choreographed access sequence, transitioning from public to private spaces, enhances the mosque’s sense of sanctity and openness. The layout is thoughtfully composed, featuring a 120 sqm main prayer hall, complemented by a 116 sqm semi-outdoor communal terrace that extends the spiritual experience beyond the walls. In the foreground, two reflecting ponds positioned symmetrically on either side not only enhance the mosque’s aesthetic grandeur but also contribute to microclimate improvement, offering passive cooling. Surrounding open spaces, including parking areas and landscaped gardens, provide a welcoming arrival experience, while the contemplative garden at the rear invites moments of reflection and peace. The second-floor prayer area, spanning the entire upper level, integrates an elegant central void, adorned with hanging classical lamps, creating a visually striking spiritual ambiance. Completing the composition, a singular minaret (mercusuar) rises proudly at the front, serving as a distinctive landmark for Adzan, the Islamic call to prayer. This design seamlessly intertwines tradition, modern function, and environmental sensitivity, delivering a mosque that is both a spiritual sanctuary and an architectural masterpiece.
