Project Description

This spiritually and socially integrated architectural project, named "The Hidden Garden Qur’an," embodies the teachings of HabluminAllah (connection with God) and Habluminannas (connection with people)-the two foundational principles of Islamic philosophy. At its heart, a centralized circular stage, distinguished by a high ceiling, serves as the spiritual core, symbolizing the sacred connection with Allah. This space seamlessly interconnects all surrounding buildings and facilities, ensuring unity while preserving functional separation. The layout is structured into distinct yet interwoven zones: an Islamic boarding school, the house of the owner, and a food stall, each contributing to the holistic experience of faith, learning, and community. The two-storey boarding school, accommodating separate facilities for male and female students, remains closely linked to the central stage, reinforcing a shared sense of belonging and worship. The owner’s house integrates with the boarding school through a semi-permanent steel bridge, facilitating accessibility while maintaining spatial integrity. Built using composite concrete, the architecture reflects durability, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity. Aligned with the principle of Habluminannas, the owner's house features a local mart, ensuring direct engagement with the broader community through daily commerce and service. Expansive open plazas at the front and back function as spaces for gathering and play, reminiscent of the Quran’s depiction of gardens in Heaven-a symbol of eternal peace and prosperity. Through its architectural expression, natural landscapes, and functional inclusivity, this project emerges as a physical manifestation of the Qur’anic Gardens, offering a space for reflection, education, interaction, and divine connection.
