Project Description

Ainur Rofik, a businessman who has been working in Australia for several years, has decided to return to his hometown to create a new space for his family. We envision a future where this small family finds lasting happiness, raising their children in the comfort of their own home. This vision has led us intimately to embark on a project we call ‘Rumah Ainur Rofik’. Ainur purchased an abandoned old building and has begun the process of transforming it into a home that seamlessly integrates both his personal and professional life. Our design approach involves redeveloping the existing structure to accommodate both his commercial ventures and private living spaces within a single building. This design concept emerged from a thorough analysis of Ainur’s specific needs and desires, driving our architectural intervention. At its culmination, this residence embodies tropical design principles, facilitating seamless interaction between interior and exterior spaces through a ground-level terrace and upper-level balcony. Distinguished by a prominent singular overhang, it unifies the architectural composition with a distinct visual identity. The commercial area is strategically positioned on the left side of the ground floor, maximizing accessibility and fostering direct engagement with customers, a strategic choice given the residence’s location within a residential complex. To fulfill Ainur Rofik’s preference for uninterrupted panoramic views, a vertical shading mechanism has been integrated into his own balcony, offering a versatile open-closed system.
